The history of Lamborghini cars was founded in 1963, when Ferruccio Lamborghini, a rich and successful man who built tractors in his factory, decided to build a super sports car in order to compete with Ferrari; choice that was considered by some as a leap in the dark, but that nevertheless succeeded.
Near Bologna, you can visit the Lamborghini Museum: dozens of production cars from the sixties and some Formula One cars, car and marine engines, old tools from the factory and hundreds of models from all over the world.
